A new public safety building with five spacious bays for the city’s sophisticated firefighting equipment, a central dispatch operating room and firefighter training areas designed to simulate various technical rescue, ladder operation and water suppression scenarios. Training areas include a three-story, 35-foot-tall training tower, a 758-square-foot training mezzanine and a 1,190-square-foot training room with audiovisual capabilities for classroom lecture. The façade and elevation were designed to be complementary to the downtown development plan.
