This project included the construction of New Transit Facility consisting of vehicle storage, a fueling station, a maintenance area, wash bays and office spaces including a boardroom. This project included government tracking of all jobs retained and created. Architectural features include a structural steel frame, insulated exterior metal panels and a metal roof at the vehicle storage area. The office and maintenance areas feature masonry ground-face veneer, upper and lower windows for daylight harvesting, custom millwork with solid surfaces tops and ceramic tile throughout the office area. The new mechanical and electrical systems are operated by an energy management system that features occupancy sensors, high efficiency motors and high efficiency light fixtures. This project was the first major project that took place in Clare for many years and Beckering Construction controlled the budget throughout the process allowing for several owner-desired extra items. In fact, cost control by Beckering throughout the project allowed construction of a $100,000 fueling station canopy upon completion of the Transit Facility.
